Patch 1.20.0: Il Toro Shotgun Nerfed, Energy Clips Economy Adjusted

Patch 1.20.0 is rolling out on all platforms. This update addresses two major community concerns: the dominance of the Il Toro shotgun in the current meta, and an unintended Energy Clips crafting exploit that was destabilizing the in-game economy.

The Il Toro shotgun has been adjusted to bring it in line with other weapons of its rarity tier. The changes target the weapon's effectiveness at range, particularly when combined with a choke mod. Developers noted that the Il Toro had become too versatile across all upgrade levels, and the adjustments make it more dependent on upgrades and mods to reach its full potential.

The Il Toro changes are: Pellet Damage reduced from 7.5 to 7 per pellet. Base Fire-Rate reduced from 43 to 38. Base Dispersion increased from 4.5 to 6 (wider spread). Total Reload Time increased from 4.3 seconds to 5.7 seconds. Looping Reload Entry increased from 0.8s to 1s. Looping Reload Time increased from 0.5s to 0.7s. Damage loss from range falloff increased from 40% to 50%.

Developers acknowledged this is a significant set of changes and noted they will be monitoring the weapon's performance closely. Additional adjustments may follow based on community feedback and gameplay data after the update.

Energy Clips have also been rebalanced following community reports that Energy Clips crafting had become unintentionally profitable. The sell price has been reduced from 1000 coins to 200 coins per unit, bringing it in line with other comparable crafting outputs. This change targets the farm-and-sell loop that was distorting the early and mid-game economy.

Bug fixes include: persistent audio from destroyed Comets and Fireballs that was causing audio bleed after enemy destruction, a collision issue where players could get pushed through walls and stuck on the Dam Controlled Access Zone, and missing collision near the east elevator and under pipes on Spaceport.
