Surge Coil is a rare deployable that periodically electrifies the area around it. It is not just a trap; it is a tempo tool that helps your squad control where fights happen.
If you are adjusting to the post-1.22 sandbox, treat Shredder outbreaks as a signal to tighten spacing and pre-plan fallback routes. Treat Surge Coil as a way to buy time during those same pressure moments. Together they make Flashpoint and adjacent raids feel more punitive to players who rely on static positioning.

- When a map condition can spawn Shredders, keep one player ready to peel rather than having all three tunnel on loot or boss damage.

How to Farm Flashpoint Efficiently Now
